Big Stone Gap, VA. The Southwest Virginia Museum Historical State Park will continue it’s 2023 Artisan Series with the April Artisan Series being a “Book Art Journal Workshop.” This workshop will be held on Tuesday, April 18, from 6-8 p. m. in the museum’s Victorian parlor.
Book Art is the same as a written journal, except that it incorporates colors, images, pattern, and other materials in with the journal. The “Book Art Journal Workshop” is the perfect get together with friends, or family to make your own one-of-a-kind Book Art Journal. With assistance from local artisan Robin Charles, guests will learn how to create their own one-of-a-kind book art journal to take home.
Participants that attend this workshop may bring along other items that they want to use in making their own personalized art books: Photos, greeting cards, mementos, or any other small item.
The fee for the workshop will be $15 per person; all supplies and materials are included. Registration is required for this workshop. Spaces are limited, so register early.
Registration and payment are due by Friday, April 14. For more information, or to register for the workshop, please call 276-523-1322.
