Now held on Sunday afternoons, the Lunch on the Lawn series is back!
The forecast is looking great, so bring your lunch and join us underneath the beautiful shade trees in the Victorian Garden while we enjoy the music of Richard Phillips from 2-3 p.m. on Sunday, June 4.
Richard is a singer/songwriter who plays old time, blues, Americana and original music. He has recorded ten studio albums all of which invoke the spirit of the region. He has played in many local festivals and events and currently teaches at the Mountain Music School Summer Program at Mountain Empire Community College.
Also, new this year, park staff and volunteers will have crafts and activities for children at each Lunch on the Lawn program. So, bring the whole family out and have some fun!
Make sure you come hungry, because Dough & Joe Food Truck will be on site with their delicious donuts, coffee and ice cream.
The “Lunch on the Lawn” event is free and open to the public.
